The highlight of the children’s day in Africa Class today was learning about the digestive system in Science. Through a fun and engaging lesson, pupils discovered what happens to food after we eat it. They learnt how food travels to the stomach, where it is broken down by stomach acid before moving through the small and large intestines. The children were fascinated to learn how the body absorbs nutrients and eventually removes waste.

It was a fantastic hands-on learning experience that brought Science to life and sparked lots of curiosity and discussion. We certainly have some budding scientists at Torfield!
