Bayeux Tapestry Trip

Yesterday, we were fortunate enough to take a group of Year 6 children on a visit to London’s British Museum to see the Bayeux Tapestry.

We all took great pleasure in telling every member of museum staff we met that we were visiting from Hastings, and the guide who introduced us to the exhibition was rightly impressed by how much our pupils knew about the Battle of Hastings.

A special mention goes to Alex, who was the first to spot the arrow in Harold’s eye before anyone else, including the adults. We are also extremely grateful to our dedicated staff, who made it all possible.
